You will play a key role in researching, understanding and explaining EU policies and political developments through clear, accurate and engaging content, with a strong focus on digital-first formats and events.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Researching EU policies, legislative processes and political context to support content creation for EU communication projects and multi-countries campaigns

  • Creating digital-friendly content that is structured for online reading, adapted to different platforms, and aligned with project objectives.

  • Applying SEO best practices (keyword research, headlines, metadata, readability, internal linking) to improve content visibility and performance across digital channels.

  • Monitoring EU policy and political developments to identify relevant news angles, stories and updates for digital and press content.

  • Conducting desk research and interviews, and working with policy experts, stakeholders and colleagues to gather reliable information.

  • Liaising with event organisers to ensure policy coherence and alignment of event programme.

  • Briefing event speakers and other event stakeholders.

  • Working closely with content strategists, editors and digital teams to ensure content is optimised for distribution, performance and audience engagement.

  • Using analytics and performance insights to refine content over time and improve reach and impact.

  • Ensuring all content meets high quality standards and complies with EU style guides and institutional requirements.

Desired profile

  • Degree in communications, journalism, political science, EU affairs or a related field.

  • Proven professional experience in writing, editing and content development, ideally in an EU policy, institutional or public affairs environment.

  • Excellent command of English, with the ability to produce clear, accurate and audience-appropriate content across a range of formats and channels.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, work collaboratively and engage effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

  • High level of accuracy, sound judgement, adaptability and a proactive approach to delivering quality work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
