Job Description:
- Diagnose and manage patients with movement disorders and other neurologic conditions using advanced clinical skills and state-of-the-art diagnostic tools.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies.
- Perform neurotoxin injections for the treatment of dystonia, spasticity, facial spasm etc.
- Engage in patient selection, education, and programming of deep brain stimulators (all 3 devices) and other advanced therapies for the treatment of movement disorders.
- Engage in patient selection, patient education, and programming of continuous medication infusion pumps for the treatment of movement disorders.
- Perform Neurology procedures, including skin biopsy and lumbar puncture.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including neurosurgeons, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to optimize patient care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines to improve patient outcomes.
- Engage in community outreach and education to raise awareness about movement disorders.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of U.S. ACGME accredited neurology residency training.
- Completion of Fellowship training in Movement Disorders.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Neurology.
- Unrestricted Utah medical license.
- Experience with each of the following:
- Clinical work in a specialized integrated movement disorders clinic.
- Performing the following procedures: cranial and limb injections of botulinum toxin for dystonia; deep brain stimulation programming on Abbott, Boston Scientific, and Medtronic platforms; and performing alpha-synuclein skin biopsies.
- Assessing movement disorder patient eligibility for clinical trial participation.
- Ordering and interpreting genetic testing for rare forms of movement disorder.
Upon hire, all applicants will be subject to drug testing/screening and background checks.
Salary (Annual): $250,000.00 - $350,000.00/year
Work Location: 5121 S Cottonwood St, Murray, UT 84107
Hours of Work: Usually 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Hours may vary based on clinic schedule.
