The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

Key Responsibilities:

1. Documentation & License Management:

l Prepare, verify, and maintain accurate import/export documents (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, etc.).

l Ensure all documentation complies with customs regulations and company policies.

l Apply for and manage trade-related certificates (e.g., import/export permits, COO, FTA preferential certificates).

2. Customs Coordination & Clearance:

l Facilitate smooth customs clearance by resolving discrepancies, classifying goods (HS codes), and calculating duties/taxes.

l Track shipment statuses and address clearance delays proactively.

l Communicate with cross-team (e.g., planner, DC, TM, oversea suppliers)

l Cooperate with broker to make sure on time clearance.

3. Data Analysis & Process Improvement:

l Analyze trade data (e.g., shipment costs, clearance times, duty savings) to identify inefficiencies and opportunities.

l Collect reports on customs performance metrics and present findings for management.

l Recommend process improvements to enhance compliance and operational efficiency.

4. Others:

l Be the primary contact with customs and customs brokers. Lead the communication with local Customs for any interaction & collaboration need.

l Act as backup for team members.

Your Skills and Expertise 

1. Education:

l Bachelor’s degree in international Trade, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.

2. Experience:

l 3+ years of hands-on experience in customs coordination, import/export operations, or trade compliance.

l Working knowledge of customs procedures (e.g., Incoterms, tariff classification, valuation rules).

l Experience using customs declaration platforms (e.g., China’s Single Window or other local systems).

3. Skills & Competencies:

l High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

l Proficiency in MS Office (advanced Excel for data analysis) and ERP systems.

l Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin (both written and verbal).

l Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.

4. Preferred Qualifications:

l Certification in customs/trade compliance (e.g., Certified Customs Specialist, CDCS) is a plus.

l Knowledge of SAP systems related to logistics/trade modules
