Team/Role Overview

The Markets Operations team support the processing of transactions originating from the trading floor. This critical role includes processing of transactions, exception resolution, error corrections and performing controls to ensure accuracy and compliance. The role demands a high degree of responsibility. Collaboration is key, requiring seamless interaction with the trading room team, and some direct engagement with clients, and coordination with various internal operations teams. A significant aspect of the role includes supporting the branch's liquidity, navigating a dynamic environment, and working alongside highly skilled individuals within an intellectually stimulating setting.

 What you'll do:

• Intraday Liquidity Management Support:

  • Generate and analyze end-of-day liquidity projections for both local and foreign currencies, contributing to proactive liquidity management

  • Monitor and report on intra-day cash flows and positions to assist in optimizing liquidity utilization

  • Collaborate with treasury, front office, and other operations teams to ensure alignment on liquidity forecasts and requirements

  • Oversee the matching and reconciliation of high-volume client payments across various systems and accounts

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements related to payment processing and reconciliation

• Process forex and derivatives products, provide analytic input for traders and aid in review of derivative products

• Exercise professional judgement in order to make process improvement recommendations

• Resolve settlement related issues and escalate as needed; recommend solutions to resolve complex issues

• Participate in the implementation of assigned projects, including new products, services and upgrades to platforms

• Identify policy gaps and formulate new policies to enhance the streamlining of trade flow processes

• Monitor and provide solutions to errors to minimize risk to the bank

• Provide informal guidance, and/or on the job training to new team members

• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

What we'll need from you:

• Experience in finance operations or back-office - preferred

• Accuracy and attention to details

• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

• Willing to work Monday- Friday

• Excellent teamwork skills

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting, or Finance (preferred)
