Athletic Attendant
Location: The Club at Ruby Hill – Pleasanton, CA

Part-Time Position (Weekend Availability Preferred)
Reports To: Director of Health & Wellness

The Athletic Attendant supports daily operations across the Fitness Center, Pool, and Tennis Courts, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all members and guests. This role combines customer service, facility upkeep, and safety monitoring, with a focus on delivering a high-quality member experience.

Responsibilities:

• Greet members and guests in a friendly, professional manner and build positive relationships
• Assist with check-in processes and accurately record member activity in the system
• Maintain knowledge of club amenities, events, and policies; answer questions and educate members
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of fitness areas, pool deck, furniture, and common spaces
• Set up and arrange pool furniture, umbrellas, and loungers
• Provide towels, refreshments, and general assistance to guests; clear used items and trash
• Monitor pool and fitness areas to ensure safety and enforce all rules and procedures
• Perform daily inspections of facilities and report any issues or incidents to management
• Assist with snack bar or poolside food and beverage service as needed
• Follow all sanitation, cleaning, and water safety protocols
• Answer phones using proper greeting and assist with inquiries
• Open and/or close facilities as scheduled and complete all shift duties
• Attend required meetings and communicate feedback or concerns to management

Requirements:

• Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred (1+ year ideal)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Friendly, outgoing, and team-oriented attitude
• Ability to lift and move equipment and furniture as needed
• Basic knowledge of fitness equipment and pool safety practices
• Good time management and organizational skills
• CPR/AED certification recommended
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Professional appearance and positive demeanor

Pay Range: $16.90 - $30.00
