About the role
Overview:
Supports Wealth Planning team with advanced wealth planning analyses for asset protections and sustainability and tailored to clients and prospects.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Compile wealth planning information from clients, including tax forms, account statements and personal information; determine other required information that is needed.
- Work closely with Planning team to develop clear and concise presentations that effectively communicate complex solutions.
- Provide research support and quantitative analyses on technical matters related to wealth planning topics or client concerns.
- Maintain semi-direct client contact under guidance of more experienced personnel.
- Maintain an understanding of the general ramifications of current Federal tax law and review wealth planning reports for errors and talking points based on this knowledge.
- Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
- Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 1 years’ work experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 5 years’ higher education and/or work experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong proficiency with pertinent spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software
Experience rapidly learning new software applications
Strong research skills
Strong analytical skills
Education and Experience Preferred:
Minimum of 1 year’s relevant work experience
Expert level proficiency with pertinent spreadsheet software modeling
M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $36.48 - $60.80 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.Location:
