About the role
1. Equipment Maintenance & Support
- Maintain and support ATE testers and handlers to ensure optimal performance
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot equipment, hardware, and PCB issues down to component level
2. Equipment Optimization & Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement to enhance yield, quality, and throughput
- Analyze equipment performance and implement cost-effective solutions
- Optimize test processes and reduce cycle time
3. Production Support
- Support production testing (FT/SLT) and ensure tester uptime
- Monitor downtime, yield loss, and equipment efficiency
- Handle engineering issues impacting production flow
4. Troubleshooting & Failure Analysis
- Debug test failures and identify root causes
- Perform failure analysis for production rejects and RMA units
- Implement corrective and preventive actions
5. Test System Development (Optional / Advanced Roles)
- Develop and maintain ATE hardware, load boards, and test programs
- Modify test station configurations and improve test coverage
- Collaborate with design engineers to improve product testability
6. Documentation & Compliance
- Create SOPs, work instructions, and maintenance procedures
- Maintain equipment logs, calibration records, and reports
- Ensure compliance with quality systems (ISO/QS standards)
7. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with production, process, test, and design teams
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for equipment support
- Provide technical training to technicians and operators
