Excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to assume the Payroll Specialist (Individual Contributor) role within the Carrier Business Services organization. Duties and Responsibilities

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for executing end-to-end payroll operations for assigned APAC countries, ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. This role works closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional global teams to support efficient payroll delivery, Time & attendance processes across APAC .

  • Execute end-to-end payroll processing for APAC countries (e.g., Australia, India, Singapore, etc.)
  • Ensure payroll is processed accurately and timely, adhering to local statutory and compliance requirements
  • Manage and validate time & attendance (T&A) data and ensure proper integration with payroll systems
  • Collaborating with cross-functional global teams including HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors
  • Support payroll audits, statutory filings, and compliance requirements across APAC
  • Maintain payroll data integrity and ensure compliance with data privacy and retention standards
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for payroll processes and systems (e.g., SAP/GlobalView, ADP)
  • Support issue resolution, investigation, and root cause analysis for payroll discrepancies
  • Monitor and support KPIs/metrics related to payroll service delivery
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process standardization
  • Stay current with APAC payroll legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Support vendor coordination to ensure service delivery alignment

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Payroll certification (India payroll certification preferred/required)
  • 5–8 years of payroll experience in a multinational or shared services environment
  • Experience with SAP/GlobalView or similar payroll platforms preferred
  • Strong knowledge of APAC payroll (Australia, India, Singapore, etc.)
  • Language standard: Advanced English (spoken and written)

Experience

  • Hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll processing
  • Strong knowledge of time & attendance systems and payroll integration
  • Experience working in a global, cross-functional environment
  • Familiarity with third-party payroll vendors (e.g., ADP)
  • Strong understanding of statutory compliance and payroll regulations
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure during payroll cycles
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
