Job Description
We are on a mission to pioneer the world’s next era of play. As we grow across Europe and Latin America, we’re building The Playstack - the technology powering the next generation of sports, gaming, and fan experiences. Join us, and help make it the most widely used platform in the world! From operations, to marketing, to product, we are looking for talented people who will shape how millions of customers play, watch, and connect every day.
Think of a product. A lean, high-performance software solution for sports betting. Built to deliver the best real-time experience. Now think of ensuring its reliability. Preventing critical bugs from reaching production. Driving automation and continuous testing at scale. Making sure that every release meets the highest quality standards. Sounds like a challenge worth taking?
Join us and play a key role in shaping how we release and test products that serve hundreds of thousands of users daily.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Designing, implementing, and managing automated test solutions across web applications, microservices, and native apps, ensuring comprehensive test coverage, including UI, API, and integration testing.
- Establishing and maintaining test frameworks that integrate seamlessly into the CI/CD pipeline, defining critical business scenarios and automating them for robust quality assurance.
- Owning the release validation process, ensuring every deployment is thoroughly tested, risks are mitigated, and issues are reported promptly.
- Collaborating closely with development teams to analyze issues, improve test coverage, and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensuring automated tests run efficiently in the continuous integration environment, contributing to a fast, stable, and reliable release process.
- Taking ownership of test automation codebases, ensuring high standards, scalability, and maintainability.
What We're Looking For:
- At least five years of experience in testing, with a strong focus on test automation and release processes.
- Strong programming skills in functional or object-oriented languages.
- Deep understanding of testing processes and experience defining test strategies from scratch.
- Hands-on expertise with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into the deployment process.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing data-driven approaches for test execution monitoring, including setting up observability tools, tracking test behavior over time, and leveraging data insights for decision-making.
- Shift-left testing mindset, emphasizing early defect detection and automation.
Bonus Points For:
- ISTQB certification.
- Experience with BDD (Behavior-Driven Development).
- Knowledge of Ruby or JavaScript.
- Experience in backend testing, including API, unit, and database testing, and in testing RESTful services using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
- Experience with non-functional testing.
If you are a highly skilled QA engineer passionate about automation, release quality, and continuous improvement, this is the opportunity to make a significant impact!
