Job Description

Are you looking for a career move that will put you at the heart of a global financial institution? Then bring your skills in analysis, problem solving, and communication to Citi's Finance Technology Transformation program.

By Joining Citi, you will become part of a global organisation whose mission is to serve as a trusted partner to our clients by responsibly providing financial services that enable growth and economic progress.

Team/Role Overview

The Finance Technology Transformation program focuses on migrating existing Citi-coded platforms to Oracle SaaS, impacting accounting engines, end-to-end data flow from Front Office to BA AR, Ledger Balances, and enterprise downstream consumption.

The Senior Solution Architect will be responsible for developing detailed technical designs, supporting the implementation teams, and ensuring adherence to architectural standards within this program. This role works closely with Lead Solution Architects, focusing on specific components and technical solutions.

What you'll do

  • Translate high-level architectural designs into detailed technical specifications for specific components or features within the Oracle SaaS ecosystem, data pipelines, or reconciliation processes.

  • Provide hands-on technical guidance and support to development and QA teams throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring solutions are built according to architectural designs.

  • Design and implement integration patterns between various systems, including upstream product processors, ADTS (Accounting Data Transformation Service), Oracle SaaS modules, and downstream consumption systems (e.g., Pub/Sub).

  • Focus on the detailed implementation of data flows, ensuring accurate data transformation, mapping, and transfer across different stages (e.g., Front Office to BA AR, Ledger Balances).

  • Work effectively with developers, testers, product owners, and other architects to ensure cohesive and integrated solutions.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for assigned architectural components, including system diagrams, data flow diagrams, and API specifications.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to architectural components, integrations, and data processing.

  • Identify opportunities for performance optimization within technical solutions and contribute to their implementation.

What we'll need from you

This role requires a candidate with strong technical acumen and a proactive approach to architectural design and implementation. The essential qualifications and skills required include:

  • Demonstrated ability to translate high-level architectural designs into detailed technical specifications.

  • Proficiency in designing and implementing integration patterns for complex systems.

  • Solid understanding of data flow implementation, transformation, mapping, and transfer processes.

  • Experience ensuring technical solutions adhere to architectural best practices, security guidelines (e.g., OCI Console Admin Access, Key Management and Data Encryption), and Citi's internal standards.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in troubleshooting complex technical issues related to architectural components and data processing.

  • Ability to identify and implement performance optimization strategies within technical solutions.

  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of new technologies, especially in Oracle SaaS and cloud architecture.

What we can offer you

This is a role that'll offer you the opportunity to build an in-depth knowledge of financial services operations. Every day there will be new business challenges that will help you develop new skills that can drive your career.
