Location - Must be based in Bulgaria (fully remote)

As a Site Payments Specialist, your primary focus will be the configuration and maintenance of site payment systems and study budgets, ensuring accurate setup and smooth payment operations
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the Investigator Payments Lead and study teams to establish and maintain accurate payment requirements for assigned clinical studies.
Review clinical trial agreements, budgets, amendments, and other financial documentation to determine site payment requirements and ensure accurate system configuration.
Set up and maintain study payment information within designated payment systems, ensuring alignment with approved contracts and budgets.
Configure both automated and manually triggered payment activities, applying the appropriate payment methodology based on study requirements.
Assess payment terms for completeness and accuracy, proactively seeking clarification and resolving any discrepancies with relevant stakeholders.
Liaise directly with investigative sites to obtain, update, and verify payee information and associated payment documentation.
Build strong working relationships with internal teams, external partners, and study stakeholders to support the effective delivery of payment services.
Prepare, validate, and submit payment setup documentation within agreed timelines, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal procedures.
Monitor outstanding documentation, payment issues, and action items, driving resolutions and maintaining clear records of outcomes.
Participate in study team meetings and payment-related discussions as required, providing updates on status, risks, and key actions.
Skills & Experience required:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Life Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
Must be available to start within 4-6 weeks (ideally)
Minimum of 2 years' experience in clinical research, finance operations, contracts administration, site payments, or a related discipline.
Strong understanding of contracts, budgets, and financial processes within a regulated environment.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
Professional fluency in English and ideally fluency in an additional European language
Employment with ICON is contingent upon having the legal right to work in the country where the role is based.
