Pharmacist - HUB Centralized Services - Full Time

Position Highlights:

Nebraska Medicine is now taking applications for talented individuals to join us as a HUB Centralized Services Pharmacist.

Nebraska Medicine HUB Pharmacy is a closed-door centralized services pharmacy. Responsibilities of Pharmacists on the Centralized Service team include clinical review of prescriptions (drug utilization review, order entry accuracy checks) and working alongside pharmacy technicians while triaging/assisting patient phone calls. This position works at our Central Fill location for Nebraska Medicine and the office is located at approx. 114th and Dodge in Omaha, NE.

Shift:

  • 1st shift – Full Time – Benefits Eligible (1.0 FTE)

  • Varied working hours, typically 8.5-hour shifts

  • Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts varied between 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM

  • Coverage one weekend every 12 weeks at our Durham Outpatient Center pharmacy is required

Pharmacist - HUB Centralized Services - Full Time

Working with the healthcare team, prepare, dispense, and distribute medication and provide clinical monitoring and drug information in a manner, which ensures optimal patient care. Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations pertaining dispensing and maintenance of records. Provide direction and assist with organization of daily activities.
 
Required Qualifications:

  •  Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program OR possess a Bachelor or Master of pharmacy degree with 10 years of experience required.

  • Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Nebraska or jurisdiction in which pharmacy practice is conducted required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later) as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice required.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff and patients required.

  • Demonstrate basic computer skills and use of typical office equipment required.

 
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Outpatient hospital pharmacy experience or retail pharmacy experience preferred.

  • American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited postgraduate year one residency preferred.

  • Experience with hospital EMR and pharmacy applications preferred.

  • Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice preferred.
