About the Role:We’re looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative professional to support the financial clearance process for patients. In this role, you’ll help ensure patients can move forward with care by working closely with insurance providers and internal teams.
You’ll act as an important connection point between patients, insurance companies, and departments across the organization to help streamline approvals, reduce delays, and keep information accurate and up to date.
The starting annual salary for the Financial Clearance Representative I is $42,641 and this can include a full comprehensive benefits package.
The starting annual salary for the Financial Clearance Representative II is $47,695 and this can include a full comprehensive benefits package.
What You’ll Do:
Work with insurance providers to verify coverage and support financial clearance for patient care
Help ensure required authorizations and approvals are completed in a timely manner
Create and maintain accurate records related to financial clearance activities
Serve as a point of contact between admissions, clinic staff, patient accounting, and physician billing teams
Communicate clearly with both internal teams and external partners to resolve issues or delays
Monitor and track financial clearance status to support smooth patient flow
Help identify and address gaps or challenges in the process

Qualifications:
Required Education and ExperienceFinancial Clearance Representative I:
1. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in pre-certifications and follow-up procedures or a related field; or
2. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and successful completion of a Patient Access Representative traineeship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park).
NOTE:
Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
OR
Financial Clearance Representative II:
1. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in authorization and follow-up procedures or related field; or
2. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience Financial Clearance and/or Patient Access within the Financial Clearance Department at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
NOTE:
Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
