Position Title: Insurance Specialist

General Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Insurance Specialist is to accurately underwrite Personal Lines risks while serving as a first line of support to representatives on complex matters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Accurately and effectively underwrite all types of Personal Lines business in all states.
- Provide support to internal customers regarding complex matters and escalated customer inquiries.
- Support the department through participation in meetings, projects, and initiatives as assigned.
Hours: 9:45 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Tuesday to Friday, Saturday 8:30-4:45 p.m. (During the first 4-5 months of training, hours will be Monday through Friday 8:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.).
Required Qualifications: Knowledge, skills & abilities, experience, minimum & desired education, certification and/or license requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree (or pursuing a degree) in Risk Management and Insurance or 18 months experience as an NJM Licensed Account Representative
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective conflict resolution
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience providing high quality customer service in a professional setting
- Completion of general insurance courses such as AINS, AIS, API, or CPCU, are a plus
- Property & Casualty Insurance License or Personal Lines Authority (The successful candidate will be required to obtain a Property & Casualty Insurance License as a condition of employment)

Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials.
Pay Range: $61,256-$71,190Eligible full-time employees receive a competitive Total Rewards package, including but not limited to a 401(k) with employer match up to 8% and additional service-based contributions, Health, Dental, and Vision insurance, Life and Disability coverage, generous PTO, Paid Sick Leave, and paid parental leave in addition to state-mandated leave. Employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
