POSITION PURPOSE

Accountable for leading, guiding, & directing the Regional Health Ministries (RHM) operational responsibilities. Directs, deploys & executes the strategies as directed by the RHM CEO & President to address internal or external business & regulatory issues. Responsible for consistent operating performance and achieving financial goals. Identifies, defines & solves complex problems that impact the management & direction of the business.

Provide administrative oversight for planning, directing, coordinating, and controlling overall operations and professional/support services of the organization. Participates in the development and implementation of short-term and long-range goals, objectives and operational plans which will enable the RHM to successfully carryout its strategic plans. Collaborate with Health Ministries within RHM and across RHMs to ensure consistency and integration of strategy & operations. Maintaining awareness of new industry developments & standards.  Provides decision support, operations &/or optimization leadership focus.

Direction and Growth

•     Provides executive leadership and directly and/or indirectly supervises functional operations leaders ensuring the achievement of financial, operational and strategic plans with a focus on excellence in people-centered care in a variety of delivery settings.​

Strategic Support & Accountability

  • Responsible for assisting in the preparation of the RHM and/or departmental forecasting and plans and ensures the allocation of funds based on the RHMs strategies and priorities.

  • Participates in the selection, evaluation and overall success of the senior leadership teams within the market.

Operational Delivery

  • Directs hospital operations to achieve forecasted results and other financial criteria and to preserve the capital funds invested in the organization. Evaluates financials and workforce management metrics regularly and systematically.

  • Supports RHM efforts to improve service efficiencies that drive increased quality and responsiveness to marketplace needs.

  • Ensures compliance with applicable accreditation and regulatory guidelines and local, state, and federal laws and regulations.  Maintain compliance with regulations governing hospitals and the rules of accrediting bodies by monitoring operations and initiating changes where required.

Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, state & local laws/regulations, Trinity Health Integrity & Compliance Program & Code of conduct, as well as other policies & procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical & professional behavior.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess a thorough knowledge of healthcare management principles and techniques as normally obtained through a master’s degree in health administration or a related field from an accredited graduate program is required and a minimum of five (5) years of management experience with broad strategic and operational knowledge required.

Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships with physicians, peers and leaders is essential. Experiences with acute operations, financial management, service excellence, regulatory preparedness and/or physician relations.

Additional Qualifications (nice to have)

Clinical background strongly preferred.  Clinical Licensure, Fellowship (FACHE, FHFMA, MGMA) and/or certification in a professional organization or Process Improvement certifications, strongly preferred.
