As a recognized leader in Low Power Wide-Area Networking (LPWAN), Semtech drives the next wave of wireless innovation across transceivers and System-on-Chips (SoCs).

 

Our Systems team plays a critical role in turning this innovation into commercially successful products. To support growing demand and increasing program complexity, we are strengthening our Program Management capability to ensure seamless delivery of next-generation wireless solutions.

 

Job Summary

The Program Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing complex cross-functional development programs across Semtech’s wireless connectivity portfolio.

 

This role ensures strategic product initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards by orchestrating activities across hardware, software, systems engineering, marketing, quality, and operations. 

 

The Program Manager works closely with the broader Program Management organization and global engineering teams to drive alignment, accountability, and predictable delivery in a fast-moving, matrixed environment.

 

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary interface across internal teams and external partners, driving alignment and accountability among globally distributed stakeholders (20%).
• Lead and orchestrate cross-functional engineering activities across hardware, software, systems, marketing, quality, legal, applications, and third-party vendors (20%).
• Develop and maintain integrated program plans, managing interdependencies and tracking milestones using a blend of Waterfall and Agile methodologies (20%).
• Oversee the full product lifecycle from requirements through design, validation, industrialization, and market launch, proactively managing risks and escalations (20%).
• Drive governance and decision-making processes including phase gate reviews, design reviews, and executive stakeholder reporting to ensure transparency and on-time delivery (20%).

 

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field
• 5+ years’ experience in program or project management within a technology-driven environment
• Practical experience applying both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional programs involving multiple engineering disciplines and external partners
• Fluent professional English (written and spoken)

 

Desired Qualifications

• Experience working closely with engineering teams to deliver against demanding schedules
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French
• Excellent organizational discipline and documentation practices
• Analytical mindset with structured problem-solving capability
• Comfort operating in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments with shifting priorities
• PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification
• Proficiency with tools such as Jira, MS Project, or similar platforms
