THE JOB
The Production Assistant will support the Production team with payroll processing, staff coordination, and day-to-day operational needs across live events. This role works closely with the Director of Production and Production & Payroll Coordinator to ensure accurate payroll, maintain key production records, and support show execution. You’ll play a critical role in keeping production operations organized, on time, and running smoothly in a fast-paced, live event environment.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
- Support the onboarding of production staff and maintain employee records and required documentation
- Process and enter payroll for casual labor in line with company guidelines
- Track PEX card receipts and assist with basic payroll reporting
- Help coordinate staff scheduling and logistics for events
- Respond to employee questions related to payroll and onboarding
- Support communication across production and internal teams
- Assist the Production team during live events and help ensure smooth show execution
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
Minimum Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn
- Ability to remain calm and adaptable under pressure
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred:
- Some college coursework or a degree in a related field
- Interest in or exposure to live events, production, or entertainment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- The work environment is fast-paced and may include moderate to loud noise levels
- The role may require extended hours and time on-site during live events
