The opportunity:
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Underwriting Assistant to join our team in the Nordics office in Stockholm! In this role, you'll support the Underwriting Division with key administrative tasks, ensuring top-notch service and timely delivery.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Be aware of the annual business plan for the Underwriting Division/s your role supports
- Support underwriting through general administration to ensure delivery of a professional service within agreed turnaround times.
- Input data accurately on relevant internal and external systems to maintain correct and up to date information.
- Develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Respond to broker/client requests in accordance with service standards to provide an excellent customer focus
- Prepare relevant reports and back up information to support the team to assist the business.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver superior service standards as part of the extended service team
- Deal with all Credit Control and Underwriting queries within agreed timescales
Your Profile:
Preferred Competencies/Skills:
- Solid verbal and written communication skills in both Swedish and English are required.
- Flexible approach with the ability to recognize and adapt to changing business requirements.
- A good level of numeracy and literacy.
- Strong team player with the capability to work collaboratively and develop strong working relationships.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to consistently deliver excellent customer service.
- Comfortable working with multiple systems, managing both speed and accuracy.
Preferred Knowledge:
- Understanding of the department’s operations and individual team roles.
- Knowledge of QBE structures and activities.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel.
