About the role
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Perform various welding processes including electric resistance, oxyacetylene, plasma‑arc, and TIG welding.
- Weld a variety of metals and alloys, ensuring proper penetration, fusion, and structural integrity.
- Fabricate, assemble, or repair metal structures according to blueprints, schematics, layouts, and work orders.
- Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in safe working condition.
- Follow all safety procedures, guidelines, and regulations in the welding area.
- Collaborate with supervisors or team members to coordinate work and ensure timely completion of projects.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year of welding experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Working knowledge of welding equipment, materials, techniques, and processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, and work in various positions for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move materials and equipment as required for the job.
- Work may involve exposure to heat, sparks, fumes, and noise (with proper protective equipment provided).
Compensation Information:
Starting rate $26.55.
