Job Summary
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in product design and development. The candidate should have hands-on experience in Creo, mechanical design, and New Product Development (NPD). The role involves designing electromechanical products, developing 3D models and drawings, supporting prototype builds, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
Design mechanical components and assemblies for new product development.
Create 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using Creo Parametric.
Design plastic, sheet metal, machined, and casting components.
Support electromechanical products and enclosure design.
Apply DFM/DFA principles to improve manufacturability and cost.
Perform basic engineering calculations, GD&T application, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
Support prototype development, testing, and design validation activities.
Work closely with electronics, manufacturing, sourcing, and quality teams.
Resolve design issues during prototype and production stages.
Prepare engineering documentation, BOMs, and release packages.
Required Skills
2–3 years of experience in mechanical product design.
Proficiency in Creo Parametric for 3D modeling and assembly design.
Understanding of New Product Development (NPD) processes.
Knowledge of plastic part design and injection molding.
Experience in sheet metal, casting, and machined component design.
Good understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and manufacturing processes.
Basic knowledge of structural, thermal, or flow simulation.
Familiarity with prototype development and product validation.
Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Experience in electromechanical product development is preferred.
Exposure to PLM/PDM systems and engineering change management is an added advantage.
