Main responsibilities:

  • Lead data architecture for major business capabilities and cross-domain initiatives, ensuring alignment with digital strategy and business objectives

  • Define and evolve the data architecture vision, standards, and roadmaps, including transitional and target architectures across domains

  • Design and oversee complex data solutions that ensure scalability, interoperability, performance, and compliance across platforms and systems

  • Develop and promote reusable architecture frameworks, reference architectures, and data patterns that drive consistency, simplification, and delivery acceleration

  • Lead technical due diligence and architecture evaluation for major data platform investments and technology selections

  • Champion modern data architecture practices and accelerate adoption of emerging data technologies and methodologies across teams

  • Communicate and socialize Data Mesh principles with technical and business stakeholders to support decentralized data ownership and cross-domain collaboration

  • Act as a trusted advisor and mentor within the architecture community, partnering with senior stakeholders to influence strategic direction and drive measurable outcomes such as improved performance, reduced technical debt, and cost efficiency

About you

Experience:

  • Experience leading the design and delivery of modern enterprise data architectures, translating business and technical requirements into scalable, end-to-end solutions

  • Extensive experience across the data ecosystem including data engineering, data architecture, master and reference data management, data lakes and warehouses, analytics, and AI/ML platforms

  • Experience delivering architecture blueprints, models, and documentation that provide clear traceability from requirements through implementation

  • Experience applying modern data architecture practices in complex or regulated environments such as healthcare or life sciences.

Soft skills:

  • Strategic thinker able to navigate complex and ambiguous challenges and translate them into clear architectural direction aligned with business goals

  • Strong communicator who can explain complex architectural concepts to technical and business stakeholders and build organizational alignment

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and engineering organizations without direct authority to translate architectural vision into practical implementations

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor architects and engineers and contribute to a strong architecture community of practice

Technical skills:

  • Experience designing scalable cloud-based data architectures in enterprise environments, ideally using AWS

  • Hands-on experience with modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and transformation frameworks such as dbt

  • Experience with enterprise data integration platforms such as Informatica Cloud, including large-scale data integration and orchestration patterns

  • Strong expertise in data modeling, schema design, taxonomy, interoperability, and metadata management

  • Knowledge of modern data governance capabilities including data quality, lineage, cataloging, observability, security, and access management

  • Experience implementing domain-oriented data architecture practices such as Data Mesh and decentralized data ownership models

  • Familiarity with modern integration and data exchange patterns including APIs and protocols such as REST and GraphQL to enable reliable cross-domain data sharing

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 10 years of applicable experience - required. Master's plus 3 years of applicable experience - preferred.

  • Professional certifications in relevant technologies, cloud data platforms, or architecture frameworks preferred

Languages:

  • Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The salary range for this position is:

$144,100.00 - $208,166.66

Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefits programs, and additional benefits information can be found through the (CA)LINKOR (US) LINK.
