About the role

Senior CAE Engineer (Fatigue & Wear)

Position Overview

Responsible for using professional software such as nCode for fatigue life prediction and data analysis. The role also involves designing experiments and benchmarking simulation results against actual test outcomes. By developing and applying advanced CAE methods, the position aims to effectively reduce physical testing and enhance product development efficiency.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide CAE simulation support for fatigue and wear projects, including model construction, analysis, and interpretation of results.
  • Design and plan fatigue and wear experiments, ensuring effective benchmarking between simulation and experimental results.
  • Proficiently use nCode software for fatigue simulation, post-processing, and life prediction.
  • Analyze and interpret high-cycle and low-cycle fatigue data, and apply material fatigue parameters.
  • Develop and implement new simulation methods to reduce the need for physical tests, partially replace experiments, and optimize project timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development, validation, and failure analysis.
  • Prepare methodology, results, and technical reports, and present findings to engineering teams and management.
  • Continuously improve simulation accuracy and efficiency, promote method development, and share best practices.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields.
  • Over 5 years of relevant experience in fatigue and wear simulation, analysis, and experimental benchmarking.
  • Familiarity with the mechanisms and principles of fatigue and wear, as well as material behavior under cyclic loading.
  • Experience with high-cycle and low-cycle fatigue theory and material parameter identification.
  • Ability to design, execute, and effectively benchmark fatigue and wear experiment results with simulations.
  • Experience in developing and applying advanced CAE methods to reduce physical testing.
  • Basic proficiency in English.
