Bring transformational nursing leadership to NewYork-Presbyterian as the Director of Perioperative Services for the Divisions of Pediatric Surgery at the Children’s Hospital of New York. In this highly visible role, you will play a key role in ensuring effective department management and quality of care at the highest level while defining nursing standards, assigning functions, and determining nursing clinical practices and methodologies. Bring your leadership skills to the Children’s Hospital of New York where the history of pediatric surgery is marked by some of the most extraordinary achievements in medicine that have both driven and defined the evolution of pediatric surgery in America.  As the Director of Nursing, you will directly contribute to and provide the leadership to ensure optimal patient outcome for children and their families, financial performance, and efficient operations of perioperative services. You will drive the delivery of our patient-focused nursing and ancillary staff, maintain an environment that fosters shared governance and performance at the highest level while designing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with evidence-based policies, practices, and quality initiatives. This is a full-time position at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital and NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Preferred Criteria

  • CNOR certification

  • Leadership certification

  • Pediatric experience

Required Criteria

  • Master’s degree in nursing or related field

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing

  • Current New York State Registered Nurse license

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in Perioperative Services

  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills
