About the role
Department Leader
The Department Leader is responsible for the total operation results of typically three or more converting/production lines (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Morale - SQCDM).
Main accountabilities and responsibilities (including I Care)
An Employee with uncompromised commitment to our I Care journey which ensures a safe, healthy, and sustainable work environment.
Responsible for development of the organizational capability to get the expected results and provide leadership, direction setting and coaching for their department
Responsible for the application (and development if needed) of systems and standards (work instructions, procedures for safety, quality, Maintenance, Manufacturing Excellence Best Practice, etc.)
Responsible for the fulfilment of the maintenance plan (including cost)
Uses internal and external benchmarks to drive performance improvement.
Contributes to the achievement of the plant’s Compelling Business Need (CBN) and communicates it to the department.
Develops department objectives aligned with site and unit needs and cascades goals down to the teams
Ensures the department delivers required production orders according to spec, in time and on cost
Ensures department works to standards (Safety, Quality, Daily Direction Setting (DDS), etc.)
Accountable for the Department’s Operational Budget
Identifies CAPEX needs to support midterm plans.
Is a role model and accountable for performance & consequence management, coaching and education within their department.
Experience and qualification requirements
University degree preferred
5+ years of relevant work experience
