Your role and responsibilities
As a Junior HR Business Partner for Corporate Functions and HR Services at ABB Switzerland, you will play a key role in driving operational HR processes. Partnering closely with business leaders, you will implement people initiatives, provide end-to-end HR support for a defined scope, and act as a trusted partner to managers and employees. You will represent HR within the functions, support organizational development, and help foster effective, sustainable workplace relations aligned with business priorities.
The work model for the role is: hybrid
This role is contributing to Corporate & Services in Baden, Aargau.
Your Responsibilities
Partner with leaders, employees, and works council stakeholders to deliver effective, trust‑based HR support and people initiatives.
Own end‑to‑end HR lifecycle processes, including talent acquisition, talent management, salary review, and engagement actions, in collaboration with HR Services and functional partners.
Drive employee relations, change management, continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with Swiss labor law and HR policies.
Support global hosted positions by acting as Hosting Manager, contributing to global HR projects and initiatives, with opportunity to expand impact over time across regional and global populations.
Qualifications for the role
A degree in Human Resources or a related field, with minimum 8 years of experience in HR, with exposure to business partnering or a strong desire to move into an HRBP role.
Strong knowledge of HR practices across the employee lifecycle, including talent management, compensation & benefits, and organizational development.
Ability to manage multiple priorities as well as stakeholders and collaborate effectively in cross-functional, culturally diverse environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and German, combined with strong stakeholder management capabilities and high learning agility.
A data-driven mindset with demonstrated ability to lead change and transformation initiatives. Experience with SAP and Workday is a requirement.
Working knowledge of Swiss labor law, with a willingness to deepen expertise over time.
AI fluency, participation in ABB AI upskilling session, and/or possession of AI training completion certificate is a plus.
