Job Description:

As a Buyer Specialist II at Mars you will be responsible for the preparation and issuance of purchase orders for materials, products, and services that are used to maintain and repair broken factory assets. You’ll also maintain frequent communication with factory reliability staff to understand what supplies are required, while researching quotes and negotiating pricing with vendors. What are we looking for? 5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment. Skilled negotiator who is passionate about product quality. Bachelors degree at a minimum. What will be your key responsibilities? You will work to reduce the cost of maintaining existing equipment. Partnering with vendors to negotiate discounts and find the lowest cost material without sacrificing on quality standards. You will also manage local big packages for assigned product categories, including the bid review/evaluation process, supplier selection, and rebating. What can you expect from Mars?
