The Part-Time Parts Delivery Driver is a crucial position responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of automotive parts to customers and internal departments. This role plays a key part in ensuring that the right parts reach their destination promptly, contributing to the overall efficiency of the dealership's parts operations. The purpose of this position is to uphold a high standard of customer service, support internal departments, and contribute to the smooth functioning of the parts delivery process.

Schedule & Availability:
This is a part-time role requiring the following fixed availability:

  • Thursdays and Fridays 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

  • Deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores and vendors

  • Pick up parts and equipment from customers, satellite stores, and vendors, to be coordinated with the Parts Manager and Parts Counterpeople before leaving

  • Complete a log at the time of delivery and request recipient’s signature

  • Unload truck each night

  • Turn in all paperwork and undelivered parts

  • Help maintain the professional appearance of the parts department

  • Wash outside of truck weekly. Wax truck every two months

  • Be responsible for the basic upkeep of the truck; check oil with each fill-up and ensure that the truck is lubricated the first week of each month

  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record

  • Capable of safely lifting and handling automotive parts

  • Must be comfortable driving in all weather conditions, including winter, and be available for occasional travel outside city limits (out-of-town travel is rare)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for professional interaction with customers, vendors, and team members

  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, tact, and respect when engaging with all clients

  • Maintain a professional personal appearance.

  • Strong reading comprehension skills to follow all instructions and procedures.

  • Highly organized and efficient in managing daily tasks and deliveries

  • Willingness to learn and effectively utilize the parts department’s computer inventory system (training will be provided).
