About Team: The hire will be part of high performing supply chain team for particular business vertical. Members in this team have wide range of experience & commercial knowledge in all supply chain activities order management, customer service, procurement, vendor development, WH & Logistics, Import/Exports. The person will work with these peers and gain advantage through huge learning opportunities.
Role & Responsibilities
Purpose: The Incumbent is expected to maintain optimum inventory levels and meet inventory/ DOS goals without impacting material availability. Need to exhibit a thorough knowledge of planning, scheduling, cost control and quality control. Need to meet the documentation expectation of import clearance & EXIM activities. Drive SIOP, IVD material planning & procurement through Thermo Fisher factories and external vendors
REQUIREMENTS:
- Masters, or Bachelor's Degree plus 2 to 4 years of experience in demand & supply planning .
- Preferred Fields of Study: Business, Science, Engineering or related field
Responsibilities:
Demand Planning:
- MTO / MTS determination
- Define ROP levels using historical data
- Consensus on MTO / MTS and ROP Levels with Commercial teams
- Monitor and measure inventory performance against ROP levels to ensure zero controllable stockouts
Supply Planning:
- Define and supervise stock levels across the network per stocking norms
- Generate MRP through SAP, considering ROP levels / Forecast
- Ensure timely order placements and track deliveries rigorously
- Maintain supply consensus with business partners
- Prevent controllable stock-outs of materials
- Prepare, review, and circulate shippable backlog quarterly
- Review and ensure accuracy of network inventory for system hygiene
- Share insights with customer service team on material availability
- Build quarterly decks for critical issues on constraint SKUs
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely material processing
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and weekly reviews with factories
Drive SIOP:
- Prepare and consolidate SIOP data with team members
- Present SIOP data to commercial, product, finance teams, advising on forecasts and challenges
- Align on management decisions during SIOP reviews
- Draft and publish MOMs of SIOP meetings
- Ensure follow-ups on action items from SIOP meetings
Data Analytics and Process Improvements:
- Apply data science experience to analyze datasets and uncover trends
- Support business analytics related to planning and procurement
- Implement efficiency through elimination, automation, and outsourcing
- Identify process improvement opportunities to improve system efficiency
Inventory Management:
- Drive inventory planning as per the Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
- Supervise SKU/location-level DOS performance
- Engage with commercial teams to handle slow-moving and non-moving stock
- Collaborate with global supply chain teams to liquidate excess inventory
- Meet DOS and inventory targets using simulation methods and scenario planning
