About the Unit

As the region's leader in radiation oncology services, Corewell Health Cancer Center at Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion provides radiation therapy to more patients than any other health care facility in West Michigan. Radiation oncology services are also available at our Holland and Reed City locations. We offer a full range of treatments and state-of-the-art technologies.  The radiation oncology program at Spectrum Health is certified by the American College of Radiation Oncology.

 

About Outpatient Clinics 

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. 

Scope of work  

Primarily and professionally engaged in the evaluation, delivery, and optimization of therapeutic applications of ionizing radiation, and the equipment associated with their production, use and measurement.  Role involves clinical and educational components.  Performs radiation safety duties as required for regulatory compliance and safe use of ionizing radiation.

Qualifications

  • Required Master's Degree in Medical Physics

  • Preferred Doctorate Degree in Medical Physics

  • 2 years of relevant experience Completion of Medical Physics Residency Required

  • 2 years of relevant experience Therapeutic Medical Physicist: in a clinical setting, including machine calibrations and radiation oncology treatment planning and dose calculations Required

  • CRT-Medical Physics - ABR American Board of Radiology 3 Yrs required or CRT-Medical Physics - ABMP Amercian Board of Medical Physics 3 Yrs required
