Finance & Control department in Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is a part of the Global Finance organization and is responsible for the full accounting and financial reporting cycle for Circle K European operations. Financial Controller

Type of Employment: Permanent

Location: Riga, Latvia

Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA (relocation assistance is not provided) 

WHAT YOU'LL DO 

• Gain a solid understanding of the company’s ERP system and accounting policies;

• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial information in line with internal policies and agreed deadlines;

• Maintain accurate and timely execution of month end, quarter end, and year end closing processes;

• Secure the correctness and completeness of station P&L and drive corrective actions when necessary (accruals, adjustments, reclassifications, allocations, etc.);

• Participate in finance projects and contribute ideas for process optimization and improvements;

• Develop and maintain process documentation.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Degree in Economics or Finance field;

• 3+ years of experience in accounting or auditing, preferably in an international work environment;

• Experience in retail accounting and working with retail management systems;

• Experience with general ledger functions, month-end closing, and financial reporting processes;

• Experience driving process improvement initiatives;

• Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel, and a solid understanding of accounting systems;

• Strong analytical and accounting skills;

• Excellent communication and remote collaboration skills;

• A self driven and proactive mindset, with a strong focus on continuous improvement, high quality deliverables, and meeting deadlines;

• Precise, analytical, organized and stress resistant personality;

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with colleagues across Europe.
