The Marketing Strategy and Intelligence team at trivago is a unique blend of data and business expertise, steering key marketing decisions through impactful data products, actionable insights, and deep market understanding. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing trivago's global marketing strategy. Your work will empower teams to make informed choices that drive growth, efficiency, and innovation across all marketing channels.You will collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, engineers as well as growth managers and business stakeholders to transform complex data into real business value. Together, you will design advanced analytics solutions, develop insightful dashboards and reports, and uncover strategic opportunities through in-depth research, modeling and experimentation. By providing clear, actionable insights, you will help optimize campaigns, identify market trends, and guide the decision-making process.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Translate data into actionable insights that shape our marketing strategy and investments.
  • Partner with marketing stakeholders to identify opportunities, define KPIs, and measure success.
  • Build clear, engaging dashboards and reports that highlight trends and tell compelling stories.
  • Conduct deep dives to understand performance drivers, uncover anomalies, and recommend actions.
  • Ensure marketing data quality and consistency across multiple sources.
  • Share your insights in a way that resonates with both technical and non-technical audiences.

What you'll need to thrive:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, ideally in marketing, e-commerce, or digital growth.
  • A degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field.
  • Strong business acumen - you connect the dots between numbers, customer behavior, and company goals.
  • Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with BI/dashboarding tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker).
  • Proven ability to tell stories with data - making complex findings clear, engaging, and actionable.
  • Solid understanding of marketing metrics, attribution, and campaign performance.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Stand out with:

  • Experience in the travel, e-commerce, or digital marketing industry.
  • Hands-on experience with A/B testing, geo testing, or causal inference.
  • Knowledge of big data platforms like BigQuery.
  • Familiarity with Python or R for analysis.
