Job Description
The Programme Manager is responsible for the coordination, direction and oversight of the implementation of a set of related projects and activities in order to deliver outcomes and benefits related to the organisation’s strategic objectives.
- Understand the strategic direction of the organisation, ensuring that there is an alignment of the suite of projects to support the business objectives.
- Define and phase programme tranches (projects and other related work) & lead the integration across all projects and organisational boundaries to deliver outcomes and benefits to achieve programme benefits
- Monitor, control and manage overall programme performance through effective cross functional coordination and effective stakeholder management. Responsible for on time delivery of Projects KPI (milestones/spending/product cost)
- Effective risk management with internal and external environments
- Ensure compliance to functional standards and policies are adhered to. Actively promote and drive process improvement for efficiency
- Lead, coach and motivate programme team as needed.
The Programme Manager will ideally have 7+ years experience in the management of programmes/ projects of increasing complexity with proven record in the successful
delivery of change through the application of programme management.
• Ideally is a full member of a professional body (APM, PMI)
• Experience in all stages of a programme lifecycle and has been responsible for the delivery of one or more of those stages on aerospace products
• Experience of working in a non-core programme management role eg Procurement, Commercial, Planning, Engineering etc
• Experience of setting up and high performing cross functional IPT team
• Experience of dealing with ambiguity in highly complex environments
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex information with individuals at all levels within the organization
• Frequent Travel is expected
•Frequent English & China language skill is preferred
