What is the opportunity?
We are seeking a Sr Manager, Business Management and Initiatives professional to serve as a critical support resource for the PH&N IC branch network. This role combines operational expertise and strategic thinking to drive business efficiency, support technology initiatives, and enhance operational excellence. You will play a pivotal role in standardizing best practices, enabling branch network operations, and delivering operational insights that inform key business decisions. Be the first point of contact for escalation and resolution of issues from the front office
What will you do?
Be the first point of contact for front office teams to resolve client issues
Document operational processes and procedures to capture and store internal controls
Coordinate design phases for development projects, identifying and resolving issues
Display strong judgment and knowledge of products, transactional flows, and front operations
Liaise with RBC internal and external auditors on policy issues, interpretations, and improvements
Provide business exceptions with risk mitigation and clear reasoning
Develop overall communication and training strategies for project initiatives
Guide teams to solve significant problems and develop recommendations for management
Effectively communicate and build rapport with management, stakeholders, and team members
Proactively share best practices with team members and the PH&N IC branch network
Develop strong relationships with senior leaders across PH&N, RBC IT, Operations, Compliance, and Risk Management
Embrace organizational change at individual and team levels
What do you need to succeed?
Must-Have Skills
Solid knowledge of key systems including COB, MACS, Salesforce and similar platforms
Above-average proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)
Demonstrated ability to adopt and learn new policies and IT tools quickly
Strong capability to design business and analytical solutions using various techniques and tools
Experience in assessing key business processes from an operations perspective
Proficiency in documenting processes using business process modeling tools
Strong communication skills with ability to interpret and improve processes and procedures as well as build strong, strategic relationships with stakeholders across operations and business initiatives
Expertise in conflict and issue resolution with ability to escalate appropriately
Ability to identify, create, and track opportunities for building efficiencies
Strong judgment and decision-making capabilities
Experience managing complex matters of large scope and importance
Capability to develop roadmaps for best practice evolution and continuous improvement
Nice-to have
7-10+ years of experience in business analysis, operations, or related roles
Demonstrated track record in leading organizational transformation or process improvement initiatives
Experience in the financial services, banking, or wealth management sector
Background in managing multiple concurrent projects with significant business impact

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.
Pay Range
The expected pay range for this position is:
$90,000.00 - $140,000.00The pay range provided is for the primary work location referenced in the Additional Job Details section of this job posting. Pay ranges may differ based on location. If the posting lists multiple job locations, a recruiter can confirm availability of the role and the relevant pay rage for the additional locations listed. RBC supports pay transparency and we strive to ensure all pay ranges are competitive, fair, and equitable.
