As a Specialist in the Order Management team, you will be responsible for processing new customer contracts/subscriptions, renewal contracts/subscriptions and revisions on existing contracts/subscriptions for proper terms, contract pricing, invoicing and correct sales policies. Resolve the client queries directed by Sales, Billing or Collection teams.
The Order Management Specialist acts as the primary liaison between Sales, Billing, and Fulfillment teams, facilitating the Order-to-Cash cycle with accuracy and efficiency. This role is integral to S&P Global’s Revenue Operations function, ensuring proactive deal management and execution.
The Impact
This role is critical to ensuring seamless Order-to-Cash operations and driving customer satisfaction across the client lifecycle. By supporting Sales Associates, Client Coverage, and OTC teams, the Specialist enables accurate and timely processing of new sales, renewals, amendments, and cancellations—directly contributing to revenue integrity and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Sales Orders related to New Sales/Trials/Cancellations/Billing Corrections for Data/IP/Custom contracts for accurate terms, pricing, and invoicing.
- Handling queries from existing clients including subscription status, billing/reporting, invoice status.
- Perform sanity checks on Sales Orders, Agreements, Opportunities and Invoices.
- Coordinate with Sales Associates, Fulfilment team, Billing team regarding new licensing enquiries, data entitlement requests, or any client issues in a timely manner.
- Ongoing OTC tasks such as price increases, unlicensed access to our indices, analysis of various trends such as new subscriptions and renewals.
- Address all the requests within 24 hours with additional focus on high priority requests.
- Complete various assignments accurately and timely as and when assigned.
- Being flexible to learn new things and contribute to the team and organizational goals.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field).
- 1 - 2 years of work experience in Order Management process, OTC/Billing support or a related role.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills along with collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and CRM systems (Salesforce or similar) is highly preferred.
- Integrity, positive attitude, attention to details, ability to prioritize, strong organizational skills and a desire to learn independently.
Work Environment:
Hybrid model with rotational shifts to support global business operations. May require occasional overtime to support the business.
Shift Timing: 9-hour rotational shifts (Morning 6:30 AM; Afternoon 2 PM; Night 5 PM). Timings can be changed based on the business requirement.
