Founded in 2001, Mastery Schools is a public charter network of 23 K-12 schools in Philadelphia and Camden, serving more than 14,000 students.

In the World Languages classroom, teachers strive to graduate scholars who are prepared to meet the ACTFL standards in order to be able to engage effectively with members of the Hispanophone World while at the same time building understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures. In our standard Spanish learning sequence we support students in developing Spanish language proficiency in reading, writing, speaking and listening. In our Heritage Spanish learning sequence we support heritage and native Spanish speakers in developing advanced skills related to Spanish literacy development including the analysis of Spanish language texts.
