This role is critical to creating and sustaining a safe, compliant, and high‑performing workplace across manufacturing, warehousing, laboratories, and administrative environments.

As the site EHS leader, you will partner closely with operations and cross‑functional teams to embed safety into daily work, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a strong culture of ownership and accountability.

What You’ll Do

Safety Leadership & Culture

  • Champion a proactive culture of safety, aligned with Integrated Operations and corporate EHS/IHS strategies.
  • Lead the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of EHS programs, policies, and standard work processes.
  • Ensure effective application of EHS standards through clear role accountability, training, and coaching.
  • Serve as the primary EHS liaison for third‑party providers and contractors.

Operations & Execution

  • Develop site EHS strategy, set priorities, plan resources, and align programs to business needs.
  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, and other stakeholders to integrate safety into production planning and execution.
  • Lead implementation of Management of Change (MOC) for EHS‑related activities.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, HAZMAT, and internal company standards.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report safety performance metrics, providing actionable insights to site leadership.
  • Support emergency response preparedness and crisis management related to operations.

Quality, Risk & Compliance

  • Lead management system assessments, audits, and reviews to verify effectiveness and compliance.
  • Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analyses, driving timely and sustainable corrective actions.
  • Establish and maintain consistent incident reporting and investigation processes with site leadership.

Cost & Resource Management

  • Drive cost‑effective implementation of EHS/IHS systems using standard work and common platforms.
  • Plan, budget, and manage external EHS/IHS services and consultants.
  • Monitor EHS resources to optimize cost and effectiveness.
  • Support non‑routine waste disposal activities as needed.

People Development & Engagement

  • Promote employee health and wellness initiatives across the site.
  • Coach and support leaders and employees to address unit‑ and function‑specific EHS needs.
  • Set clear expectations, provide feedback, and address performance gaps constructively.
  • Develop and mentor employees on EHS mindsets, behaviors, and leadership.
  • Encourage engagement and ownership through leader standard work and regular site floor/line walks.
  • Oversee security badging systems and camera monitoring to ensure safe and secure access.

Values & Accountability

  • Model and reinforce Core Values including SHE/PSM, Ethics, and Respect for People.
  • Establish and sustain management processes that ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety requirements.
  • Hold individuals and teams accountable for safe and compliant behaviors.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health & Safety, Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
  • 5–10 years of EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
