We are seeking a Staff or Principal Product Applications Engineer to serve as a technical leader in optical control applications, strengthening product evaluation capability, accelerating application development, and driving both team technical growth and business impact.

This role is critical in bridging silicon design, applications, and product release, while also contributing to project execution and qualification readiness.

Responsibility:

As a core member of the Product Application & Evaluation team, you will be responsible for driving optical control products from early silicon through production release, including but not limited to:

Product Evaluation & Characterization

  • Define comprehensive product evaluation plans and detailed test methodologies.
  • Design internal evaluation hardware and develop automated measurement programs for silicon evaluation.
  • Execute functionality, performance, and characterization tests on evaluation and application benches.
  • Generate clear evaluation, characterization, and functionality reports for internal and external use.

Application & Reference Design

  • Develop application boards and customer reference designs aligned with target optical module architectures.
  • Produce high‑quality datasheets, user guides, and application notes.
  • Support customer application issue debugging.

Debug & Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Debug silicon, board‑level, and system‑level issues encountered during lab evaluation.
  • Work closely with design, test, and reliability engineers on root cause analysis and issue resolution.

Project Management

  • Drive product qualification activities including Qual Plan, HTOL, HAST, ESD, LU, and other reliability tests.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans including scope, schedule, milestones, resources, and dependencies
  • Track project progress and ensure timely delivery against committed milestones
  • Act as the primary interface across cross‑functional teams, including Engineering, Product, Test, Software, Operations, Quality, and other stakeholders
  • Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies proactively

Technical Leadership

  • Act as a technical expert for product evaluation and applications.
  • Mentor junior engineers and help build long‑term application capability within the team.

Requirements:

  • MSEE or above in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines.
  • Solid foundation in signal chain circuits, including ADC, DAC, amplifiers, TIA, PGA, etc.
  • Deep understanding of IC evaluation and performance measurement techniques.
  • Hands‑on experience with PCB schematic and layout.
  • Programming skills in LabVIEW, Python, and/or C/C++.
  • Familiarity with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal sources, and DMMs.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Self‑motivated, collaborative, and proactive communicator.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
