Manager, Buying Center & Strategic Initiatives, Global Commercialization

Overview:

Mastercard’s Services organization is a key growth engine, delivering innovative solutions that help our customers thrive. By integrating proprietary data, cutting-edge technology, expert insights, and strategic expertise, Services plays a critical role in driving Mastercard’s differentiation and business growth.

The Consumer Acquisition & Engagement (CA&E) team focuses on products and solutions that address dynamic market needs. We are seeking a Global Commercialization Operations & Enablement Specialist to support the scalability, consistency, and effectiveness of CA&E commercialization globally.

The Manager, Buying Center & Strategic Initiatives role sits within CA&E Global Commercialization and is responsible for improving buyer and segment led go to market (GTM) effectiveness across a focused set of priority buying centers, customer segments, and strategic initiatives.

The role ensures Mastercard shows up with clear, compelling, and consistent narratives and GTM motions that resonate with buyers, enable more targeted selling, and strengthen commercial outcomes. This position operates at the intersection of Product, Commercialization, Marketing, Sales, and Operations, translating market signals and innovation themes into actionable GTM assets and enablement.

Key Responsibilities:

Buyer Aligned Narratives & Enablement
• Develop and maintain buyer aligned narratives for priority buying centers, including CMO, Digital, Analytics, Media, Loyalty, and Banking.
• Translate complex value propositions into clear, outcome driven buyer stories aligned to customer needs and decision drivers.
• Design and deliver buyer aligned trainings to enable consistent, confident articulation across Sales and Commercialization teams.
Segment Led Go To Market (GTM)
• Build segment specific GTM kits for priority segments, including CNPF, R&C, SME, Affluent, and Corporate Solutions.
• Own end to end development of GTM kits for two priority segments, including pitches, plays, case studies, and supporting assets.
• Ensure GTM materials are field ready, easy to consume, and scalable across regions.
Market, Segment & Pipeline Insights
• Identify segment trends and pipeline signals in partnership with Sales, Product, and Operations.
• Synthesize insights and channel them back to Product and Ops to inform roadmap priorities, readiness, and investment decisions.
• Produce Quarterly “What’s Working” insight briefs highlighting successful GTM motions, patterns, and lessons learned.
Strategic Initiatives & Innovation
• Track and synthesize industry trends and innovations, including AI/Agentic solutions, Primacy, and emerging GTM models.
• Enable more targeted selling motions for strategic initiatives (e.g., AI/Agentic, Primacy, Cross Border) by translating innovation themes into buyer and segment relevant narratives and GTM guidance.

Key Deliverables:
• Buyer aligned narrative sets and associated trainings for priority buying centers
• GTM kits (pitch, plays, case studies, assets) for two priority segments
• Quarterly “What’s Working” insight briefs
• Actionable inputs to Product and Operations on segment trends, pipeline signals, and innovation implications

About You:
• Experience in go to market, commercialization, strategy, consulting, or sales enablement, ideally within payments, fintech, or B2B services
• Exceptional PowerPoint skills, with the ability to independently create clear, executive ready, and persuasive decks that are field ready and scalable
• Strong storytelling and narrative development capabilities, including translating complex products, data, and strategies into simple, compelling buyer and segment led stories
• Proven ability to develop buyer aligned narratives, pitches, and GTM assets that resonate with senior client audiences
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to turn diverse inputs into structured, actionable outputs
• Experience working effectively in cross functional, global, matrixed environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with comfort influencing senior stakeholders
• Highly accountable, self directed, and comfortable owning priorities end to end
