Job Description

A respected residential care provider is looking for committed and compassionate individuals to join their team in supporting young people in a therapeutic residential setting. Role Overview:

As a Children’s Residential Social Care Worker, you will be responsible for delivering tailored care and support to young people, helping them build resilience, develop life skills, and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement individual Behaviour Support and Placement Plans
  • Support educational engagement at home and in school
  • Provide responsive care aligned with the organisation’s therapeutic model
  • Maintain accurate records and liaise with families and professionals
  • Engage in team meetings, training, and service development
  • Assist with household routines and create a nurturing environment
  • Ensure safeguarding and confidentiality standards are upheld

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a related field eligible for CORU registration
  • Acceptable alternative qualifications include Psychology, Counselling, Youth Work, Nursing, Disability Studies, Applied Behavioural Analysis, Early Years Care, and others
  • Full, clean manual driving licence valid in Ireland
  • Knowledge of Irish National Standards in Children’s Residential Centres
  • Experience supporting teenagers with challenging behaviour
  • Legal right to work and reside in Ireland
  • Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
  • Pay: €37,440.00-€41,184.00 per year
