Title: Content Manager, APAC
Location: Malaysia
Overview:
As a Content Manager, APAC for our APAC team, you will be responsible for managing a skilled team of professionals in the Video Content department. You will be responsible for projects undertaken in the APAC region across all parts of the video production process, from pre-production to post-production. You will work closely with global counterparts to consistently update video production workflows and maintain high-quality standards across content that is produced for a range of clients. A strong understanding of the technical aspects of video production and a passion for trialing new techniques and technologies is paramount to this role and to the success of our EFG Video Content Team.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage the day-to-day of internal APAC Video Editors & Content Producers.
- Main point of contact for internal stakeholders on content production execution.
- Responsible for all organizational aspects of content production, including scheduling, budgeting, negotiating with and booking of external service providers and freelancers.
- Support the Product team with suggestions for the execution of projects, on the levels of both cost efficiency as well as feasibility.
- Be the main point-of-contact for video related inquiries on-site, before, during and after events, and studio productions for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage the scheduling of the Content Production team, efficiently organize setup, rehearsal, production, and teardown timetables.
- Manage the content production calendar to ensure proper personnel, equipment, and studios are reserved; ensure calendar updates are entered in a timely manner.
- Identify ways to upgrade/ improve content production operations and suggest steps to implement improvements, while maintaining current operations timelines.
- Keep project budgets up to date and be in constant exchange with the Product team about changes in the budget or of the scope of a project.
- Prepare reports and documentation of achievements and challenges during execution and after finalization of a project.
- Liaise with external vendors, contractors, or suppliers to ensure that their products or services meet the organization's quality standards.
- Work closely with other internal departments to facilitate smooth execution of projects, and assist in delivering feedback where improvements can be made to workflows across the organization.
What You’ll Bring:
● Minimum of 5 years of experience working in video services and/or production management.
● Experience in managing a team.
● Proficient with video editing tools and comfortable with the technicalities of content production including budget planning.
● Proficiency in both written and verbal English. ● Able to manage multiple projects effectively, with the ability to prioritize based on scope and deadlines.
● An understanding of the competitive esports industry and its events.
● Ability to work under time pressure and remain calm in challenging situations.
