Job Description

AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today’s five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to validate critical dimensions on complex assemblies using precision equipment such as Coordinate Measuring Machines, Laser Trackers, Romer Arms, and Laser Scanning equipment. Candidate will also need extensive experience in the use of Spatial Analyzer and PC-DMIS Measurement Software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Validate critical dimensions on complex assemblies using precision equipment.
  • Perform routine inspections and adjustments to ensure measurement accuracy.
  • Document and record the measurement results during dimensional validation activities.
  • Set up precision equipment used to validate critical dimension on complex assemblies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in calibration or measurement systems (preferred).
  • Knowledge of ISO 17025 and other relevant standards.
  • Knowledge of ANSI Y 14.5 2018 GD&T Standards.
  • Proficient Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using precision instruments and calibration software.
  • Proficient documentation and communication skills.
