Group Summary:
Job Responsibilities:
Develop plastic, sheet metal, machined, and cast components considering manufacturability and
assembly requirements.
• Prepare component, sub-assembly, assembly, manufacturing drawings with GD&T annotations.
• Generate and maintain Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM).
• Support New Product Development (NPD) and Existing Product Development (EPD) activities.
Engineering Analysis & Validation
• Conduct DFMEA and support DFA, DFM, FEA, Tolerance Stack-up, and Design Validation
activities.
• Perform tolerance stackup analysis using Excel and Monte Carlo methods.
• Support product validation activities including DV, PV, environmental, vibration, durability, and
reliability testing.
• Collaborate with CAE teams to optimize product performance.
Change Management & Documentation
• Understand and implement Engineering Notices (EN), Engineering Change Requests (ECR),
Engineering Change Tasks (ECT)
• Modify designs and update drawings based on approved engineering changes.
• Maintain engineering documentation within Windchill PLM following organizational processes.
• Ensure proper release management, version control, and documentation compliance.
Manufacturing & Supplier Support
• Support team feasibility compatibility reviews for injection molding, sheet metal forming,
machining, and casting processes.
• Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing teams to resolve design and production issues.
• Support PPAP, APQP, prototype builds, and production launch activities.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 quality standards.
Customer & Cross-functional Collaboration
• Interact directly with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams to understand technical
requirements.
• Collaborate with global engineering teams, suppliers, manufacturing, vehicle integration, and
validation teams.
• Support RFQ, RFI, design proposal activities.
Strong Experience with CATIA V5/V6, PLM Windchill engineering Change management
• Knowledge of vehicle integration requirements.
• Experience supporting customer-facing engineering activities.
• Exposure to global automotive OEM and Tier-1 development processes.
Maintains safe work practices, complies with Magna H&S requirements, and participates in training and hazard reporting.
