This role provides an opportunity to design and deliver robust ServiceNow solutions across IT service management, discovery, digital experiences, and AI capabilities. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing outcomes.
About the Team
The ServiceNow Platform Team is responsible for the design, enhancement, and support of ServiceNow capabilities including ITSM, Discovery, CMDB/CSDM, integrations, and AI features. The team works closely with architecture, operations, security, PMO, and business stakeholders to drive operational excellence and platform maturity.
What You will be doing
- Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow applications using server-side and client-side scripting (Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions).
- Customize and support ITSM modules including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, and Service Catalog.
- Design and enhance user experiences using Service Portal, Workspace, and UI Builder frameworks.
- Develop custom widgets, components, pages, and experiences aligned with UX and accessibility standards.
- Implement and support ServiceNow Discovery (horizontal and pattern-based discovery).
- Troubleshoot and optimize Discovery issues related to credentials, MID Servers, probes/patterns, and schedules.
- Design and maintain CMDB data models aligned with CSDM, ensuring accurate relationships and service mapping.
- Ensure CMDB data quality through identification rules, reconciliation rules, and health dashboards.
- Support CSDM adoption and CMDB governance initiatives.
- Build and support integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub spokes, and scripted solutions.
- Configure inbound and outbound web services, data sources, and transform maps.
- Work with MID Servers for integrations, Discovery, LDAP, and orchestration use cases.
- Configure and support PPM modules including Demand, Project, Resource, and Financial Management.
- Support and enhance Now Assist and AI-driven experiences, including Virtual Agent and AI Search.
- Implement role-based access controls (ACLs) and follow secure development practices.
- Monitor and optimize platform performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Support ServiceNow upgrades and patching, including impact analysis, remediation, and testing.
- Ensure compliance with security, audit, and governance requirements.
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, process owners, and PMO teams.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and working solutions.
- Create and maintain technical and solution design documentation.
- Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentoring for junior developers.
- Consider business and operational impacts when applying technology solutions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What you bring
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITSM modules.
- Expertise in ServiceNow scripting using JavaScript (server-side and client-side).
- In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB, and CSDM.
- Experience with Service Portal, Workspace, and UI Builder customizations.
- Hands-on experience with IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP APIs, and MID Servers.
- Experience or exposure to PPM modules and PMO delivery models.
- Understanding of Now Assist, Virtual Agent, and AI-powered ServiceNow capabilities.
- Strong understanding of ITIL and enterprise IT environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to estimate effort, prioritize tasks, and deliver solutions successfully.
- Proactive and willing to mentor and share knowledge.
