We’re seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Service Supervisor to lead our Lower Hutt fire sprinkler service team, overseeing daily operations, technical compliance, and customer delivery across sprinkler servicing, preventative maintenance, and reactive works.

The Role: Fire Sprinkler Service Supervisor

You will be responsible for the end‑to‑end supervision of fire sprinkler service operations, ensuring all work meets NZ Standards, compliance requirements, and customer expectations.

This role combines technical fire sprinkler expertise, people leadership, and commercial accountability.

Key Responsibilities

Fire Sprinkler Service Operations & Compliance

  • Supervise fire sprinkler servicing, inspections, testing, defect rectification, and reactive fault response

  • Ensure compliance with NZS 4541, building regulations, and contractual requirements

  • Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality assurance, and documentation

  • Ensure all service work is completed safely, on time, and to specification

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of fire sprinkler technicians and service personnel

  • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing technical and leadership coaching

  • Promote a strong Health & Safety culture, including toolbox talks and PPE compliance

  • Ensure incidents, near misses, and hazards are reported and managed correctly

Scheduling, Commercial & Customer Management

  • Coordinate job scheduling, resourcing, and technician dispatch

  • Monitor department profitability, budgets, and financial performance

  • Ensure service jobs are invoiced within 48 hours of completion

  • Build strong client relationships with facility managers, building owners, and contractors

  • Identify service opportunities, variations, and new business within existing accounts

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in fire sprinkler servicing or fire protection systems

  • Previous experience supervising or leading trade or service teams

  • Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, compliance, and service delivery

  • Background in fire sprinkler, mechanical, plumbing, or building services industries

  • Confident communicator with customers and internal stakeholders

  • Strong organisational, planning, and job management skills

  • Full NZ Driver’s License

  • NZ Residency/Citizenship or a valid NZ work visa
