Job Description:
The Workplace team supports Castrol’s separation journey by ensuring colleagues can work safely and optimally in fit-for-purpose workplaces from Day-1, while handling risk, cost and complexity and enabling a smooth transition from bp to Buyer ownership.
About the role
This role leads the global strategy for real estate transactions across Castrol’s portfolio, including acquisitions, disposals and lease renewals. It ensures each decision aligns to business strategy, is advised by market insight and risk assessment, and delivers an estate that is safe, compliant, and financially efficient.
Working across Real Estate, HR, IT and Security, the role translates separation and growth plans into delivered workplaces. It coordinates internal teams and external partners to integrate IT and security requirements, support colleagues through change, and deliver smooth transitions with minimal disruption.

Lead complex corporate real estate transactions across multiple geographies, coordinating brokers, attorneys and internal approvals.
Deliver workplace transitions (moves, exits, stand-ups, co-location disentanglement) with minimal disruption to operations.
Build and socialise transaction strategies and investment cases; present options, risks and recommendations to executive collaborators.
Identify and mitigate HSE, physical, operational and security risks through structured due diligence, assurance and controls.
Manage senior collaborator relationships and act as the point of escalation for real estate transactions.
Manage brokers, transaction suppliers and consultants to deliver quality, value for money and continuous improvement.
Ensure transactions meet legal, ethical and governance requirements, securing required approvals and maintaining audit-ready records.
Own transaction financials (budgeting, CAPEX/OPEX planning and forecasting); track and report benchmarks for cost, speed and outcomes to drive measurable savings.
Align workplace outcomes to colleague experience, change management and digital workplace needs (connectivity, AV, access control and critical site services).
Embed sustainability into site selection and negotiations (energy efficiency, utilities visibility, waste management, decarbonisation enablers).
Capture lessons learned and stay current on market trends and workplace technology to continuously improve processes and performance!
