What you’ll be doing...
As the Channel Partner Senior Manager, you will build collaborative relationships with our internal business partners as well as strategic relationships with our suppliers. You will actively manage multiple, high-profile, and time-sensitive activities. You will effectively interface with all levels of management and ensure the sourcing process remains consistent with Verizon’s policies and goals.
You will partner with Verizon’s Indirect Sales Operations and CSO organisation, as well as the Sourcing, Finance, Contract Management, and Legal teams. You will serve as a trusted advisor in developing category strategy, objectives, and plans. This role provides an excellent opportunity to directly impact our VCG growth trajectory, supporting the execution of strategic programmes built on customer and employee centricity to drive improved sales productivity and revenue generation across our National Retail and Indirect Agents distribution points.
Your responsibilities will include:
Negotiating and completing key strategic deals, including national master lease agreements, with our small and medium indirect sales agents and national retail partners, while driving all aspects of complex strategic partner deal processes.
Strategising and evaluating multiple variables to determine the best course of action during high-level negotiations, ensuring that discussions take into account revenue, sales, and GTM (Go-to-Market) activities and plans at both a local and national level.
Partnering with your business stakeholders to create the business case justification required to gain approval and execute master lease agreements from management.
Managing expiration dates on existing agreements, building business cases for potential extensions or renegotiations, securing leadership approval for the chosen approach, and ensuring the best possible outcome for Verizon.
Negotiating contracts that uphold the integrity of future business needs while focusing on driving expense management for the CSO organisation.
Leading various cross-functional teams to develop Verizon’s requirements and reach a consensus on business deals.
Managing budget and planning, and drafting the necessary language to translate business needs into specific requirements for contract-related documents (e.g. Statements of Work (SOW), Letters of Authorisation (LOAs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), etc.).
Partnering on negotiations, commission, and GTM terms and conditions, conducting research, and providing benchmark data, including managing and facilitating RFPs (RFQs or RFIs).
Understanding priorities, challenges, and needs on an ongoing basis while managing stakeholder expectations.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
A Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
Experience in strategic deals with Distributors and Channel Partners, or related experience.
Experience specifically within device distributors and Channel Partners.
Strong knowledge of capital and expense budgeting and implementation processes.
A willingness to travel.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Project management experience within a complex, multi-project, and multi-geographical environment.
Strong analytical, data analysis, and supplier assessment skills.
Experience developing resolutions for complex problems that require frequent creativity and flexibility.
Strong interpersonal and client service skills.
The ability to be self-motivated (a "self-starter") and work independently.
Strong oral and written communication skills with a proven track record of influencing others.
If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.Scheduled Weekly Hours
