Job Description

Purpose of Position

To effectively manage an assigned sales territory primarily in Manitoba that supports the marketing and sales of the Brenntag Essential Product Portfolio

Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the District Manager, Midwest.  There are no direct reports to this position.

Key Accountabilities

  • Achieve or exceed annual planned sales and margin objectives for the assigned territory or market segment while maintaining expenses within assigned budgeted guidelines;

  • Participate in the preparation and implementation of annual territory budgets and marketing plans for the assigned territory or area of accountability;

  • Identify and report potential sales growth opportunities and factors which could influence marketing plans and objectives;

  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with existing and potential customers;

  • Utilize the Brenntag Sales Process and maintain the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database;

  • Contribute to and complete all other assigned reporting requirements required by the company

  • Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with health, safety, quality and environmental management systems as well as corporate and local policies.

Technical Competencies

  • Post Secondary education with a focus in Engineering, Sciences, or Business

  • Previous sales experience in Water treatment is an asset

  • Superior presentation and negotiating skills

  • Microsoft Office applications: Word; Excel; and PowerPoint

  • Experience with SAP and Sales Force is beneficial
