ServiceNow CMDB Architect

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic ServiceNow CMDB Architect, based in Bucharest, to design, implement, and maintain our Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the ServiceNow platform. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and effectiveness of our IT asset and service configuration data across FLSmidth A/S, supporting our IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and broader business objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

* Lead the architectural design and evolution of the ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring alignment with ITIL best practices and FLSmidth's strategic goals.
* Define and manage the CMDB data model, including CI classes, attributes, relationships, and data sources, to accurately represent IT infrastructure and services.
* Develop and implement strategies for CMDB data population, discovery, and reconciliation, leveraging ServiceNow Discovery, integrations, and other data sources.
* Establish and enforce CMDB data quality standards, governance policies, and procedures to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
* Collaborate with various IT teams (e.g., Service Owners, Infrastructure, Operations, Security) to understand their CMDB requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
* Design and implement CMDB integrations with other IT systems (e.g., asset management, monitoring, security tools) to create a unified view of IT configurations.
* Provide expert guidance and mentorship to CMDB administrators and other IT staff on best practices, data modeling, and CMDB utilization.
* Develop and deliver training materials and workshops to promote CMDB understanding and adoption across the organization.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives for the CMDB, identifying opportunities to enhance its value and efficiency.
* Participate in ServiceNow platform upgrades and new module implementations, ensuring CMDB integrity and compatibility.

* Govern ServiceNow Asset Management processes, ensuring accurate lifecycle tracking, data integrity, and alignment between asset, configuration, and CMDB records

Job Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years dedicated to ServiceNow CMDB architecture, design, and implementation.
* Proven expertise in designing and managing complex CMDB data models, including CI classes, attributes, and relationships.
* In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and other CMDB population methods.
* Strong understanding of ITIL principles, particularly Configuration Management (CM) and Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM).
* Experience with CMDB data governance, quality management, and reconciliation processes.
* Proficiency in JavaScript, GlideRecord, and other ServiceNow development tools for CMDB customization and integration.
* Demonstrated experience integrating ServiceNow CMDB with other enterprise systems.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Configuration Management Database (CIS-CMDB) certification is highly desirable.
* Experience in a global enterprise environment is a plus

Salary range: 289,788 Ron -  392,067 Ron
