Our Organization: 

The Global Workforce Management Delivery organization is responsible for delivering technology solutions to drive growth, enable efficiency, and improve the associate experience for a cross functional set of Global users. We innovate across all TJX banners to ensure first-class workforce management process for our associates, modern labor budgeting and planning models, enable streamlined communication and collaboration cross functionally, facilitate enhanced productivity and much more!

What you will do: 

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the development of our Global workforce management solutions. This role will oversee engineering teams responsible for delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing GWFM capabilities. 

You will collaborate closely with product owners, QA leads, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of in-store technology solutions that support our global retail operations. 

As an Engineering Manager, you will be accountable for technical product management, engineering health of assigned products/platforms and overall engineering talent management for the assigned scope. An Engineering Manager has software engineering experience and is expected to be well versed in DevSecOps best practices and familiar with Cloud Technologies. They have a strong focus on coaching, mentoring, developing and growing engineering talent on the team, functioning as the primary champion of an engineering mindset within the team. 

You will also be responsible for establishing and executing the strategy, defining platforms/capabilities, building and leading cross-functional teams, and communicating to a large number of senior level stakeholders. This role will lead teams that will help with maturing various business and technical capabilities across the TJX India Office.  

Engineering Leadership 

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers and QA professionals focused on Global workforce management 

  • Drive the design, development, and deployment of Integrations, customizations. 

  • Ensure engineering best practices including code quality, performance optimization, and secure development. 

Project & Stakeholder Management 

  • Partner with Product Management and Business Analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions. 

  • Manage project timelines, resource planning, and delivery milestones. 

  • Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to leadership and cross-functional teams. 

Platform & Vendor Collaboration 

  • Work closely Integrated Workforce Management vendors (e.g. UKG Pro, Workday, Labor Standards, Budgeting & Planning, Workjam etc.) to ensure alignment with product roadmaps and support models. 

  • Stay current with vendor/3rd party releases and industry trends to inform platform strategy. 

 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • 12-16 years of overall experience in software engineering 

  • 4+ years leading and developing teams as a manager 

  • Strong team management and organization skills; ability to lead, motivate and direct a global workgroup 

  • Strong performance management skills to include coaching, goal setting, holding team members across multiple levels accountable for commitments 

  • Experience with Application integration; UKG Boomi, Boomi, DataStage, APIs, SaaS solutions and cloud platforms (e.g. OCI, AWS, Azure) 

  • Well versed in DevSecOps best practices and experience with Cloud Technologies  

  • Proven track record of experience with building and supporting scalable, high-performance applications 

  • Strong Experience with agile delivery model 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s or masters degree in computer science, engineering or a related field 

  • Strong understanding of UKG Pro Boomi architecture and integrations, and retail store operations 

  • Experience managing QA/testing functions, including automation and performance testing 

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills 

  • Experience in large-scale retail environments or global rollouts 

  • Agile/Scrum certification or experience in scaled agile environments
