Nuclear Medicine Technologist – PET/CT (Training Provided)

Location: San Martin Oncology Clinic – Intermountain Health
Schedule: Varied days within Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM | Part-time (20 hours/week)

No Call!  No Weekends!  No Holidays!

Pay Range: $42.66–$65.82/hour (DOE)
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $1500 for eligible applicants

Job Description

Intermountain Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist interested in expanding into PET/CT through hands-on training in our San Martin Oncology Clinic. This role supports high-quality oncology imaging workflows and provides essential diagnostic services. You will join a collaborative imaging team that values professional growth, clinical excellence, and patient-centered care.

Essential Job Functions

  • Maintain ARRT or modality-specific clinical competencies
  • Verify orders, ensure proper patient identification, and prepare patients for exams
  • Perform imaging exams per protocol; assess image quality and accuracy
  • Follow radiation safety guidelines and maintain compliance with NRC and regulatory agencies
  • Complete studies efficiently without compromising patient care standards
  • Provide patient instruction, education, and comfort during procedures
  • Assist and mentor students and technologists on procedures and equipment
  • Apply sterile and infection control techniques
  • Operate imaging equipment and electronic imaging systems
  • Maintain accurate documentation per state and Joint Commission standards
  • Follow protocols around medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC, and equipment reporting

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current license in state of practice
  • ARRT or NMTCB clinical board certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • IV certification
  • One year of clinical Nuclear Medicine experience preferreed but not required
